The Power of Photography

Photography transcends language and can create a visual impact more powerful than words. Photography should be emotive, inspiring and thought-provoking. Whether I’m photographing an animal in its natural habitat, a wild animal that’s been exploited, or documenting the efforts of rangers hand-raising an orphaned elephant, my mission is simple: use my voice to create change and raise awareness.

“I truly believe that photography has the power to change the world”

“My journey into photography simply started as a hobby—just me, my camera and a whole world of expectation. What began as simple image taking sessions soon turned into a deep obsession for capturing the vast beauty of our world, through my lens”

“As a child growing up, I recall reading my fathers copies of the National Geographic and being constantly inspired by the many hundreds of beautiful photos and words written in each edition of the magazine”

“By the age of ten, I had my first camera – an Olympus point and shoot, which was small enough to fit in my coat pocket. Even at such a young age, I spent hours perfecting my photography techniques. I was in my element!”

Now years later as a natural world photographer, Mark holds an even greater passion for capturing imagery of the wild beauty of our planet. Due to this, he specialises in wildlife imagery, but also combines landscape and seascape photography into his portfolio.

Following years as an enthusiastic amateur photographer, in 2013 Mark took the plunge and became a full time professional photographer specialising in natural world imagery as his favoured genre. Having received many fantastic reviews for his natural world photographic work, so the timing felt right.

From 2013 onwards, Mark took the opportunity to research and travel extensively to natural habitats around the globe and he added to his already large portfolio of landscape, wildlife and nature images. Many of these included his favourite subject matter including british and international birds and wildlife threatened with possible distinction.

After five years of dedicated and intensive study, in 2018 he became a photography tutor, teaching his art though his tutorials and workshops in stunning and often challenging locations across the UK and internationally.

He created workshop plans and tutorials, whilst inspiring others to get outside and start shooting.

“Whether it’s teaching the perfect composition, mastering camera settings or waiting patiently for the perfect moment, I love helping others elevate their photography skills and experience the magic of the natural world first hand”

Wildlife, landscape and other natural world photography is more than just taking pictures—it’s also about storytelling, adventure and connecting with the beauty of our planet.

Through his photography assignments and workshops, his goals are clear – to always inspire and equip photographers of all differing levels to push their creative boundaries, and capture images they’re truly proud of, whilst also respecting and protecting the natural world around us.

“When I’m not out in the field chasing golden light or tracking wildlife, you’ll find me sharing tips and inspiration on my website, working on new projects or planning my next big adventure”.

“If you love photography, nature and exploration, please join me on this incredible journey through my workshops and tutorials”
