Home » Isle of Harris & Lewis Photography Tour 2021 – SOLD OUT
SOLD OUT – Suffering from lockdown blues! – Join Mark on a fantastic five day photography tour to the beautiful Scottish Isle of Harris & Lewis.
During this tour, we will be looking to improve your knowledge and skills in photography. Led by one of the UK’s foremost tutors, the tour will focus on improving your landscape, seascape and coastal photography.
Included will be in-depth tuition on many subjects including long exposure, focusing, composition, using filters, focus stacking, black & white – all in some of the most scenic locations the UK has to offer. Some great post production tips and techniques will also be taught.
There may also be the opportunity for capturing some wonderful wildlife imagery of animals, birds and sea-life in its natural habitat.
Apart from the photography, the tour will have a relaxed holiday feel whilst staying in nice accommodation in Stornoway.
Off the west coast of Scotland, the Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris form the main island in the Outer Hebrides. They may sound like two separate islands, but Lewis and Harris are actually two parts of the one island, with the largest town Stornoway on the east coast.
With dramatic landscapes, a unique Gaelic culture and fascinating history, this is a great place for your Hebridean adventure. You will be blown away by wild mountains, immense white beaches, rugged coastlines and lunar landscapes.
From ancient thatched blackhouses to thrilling outdoor activities and superb food, there are plenty of things to do on the Isle of Lewis and Isle of Harris. There are many more adventures to have as you head south to the other Hebridean islands along the famous Hebridean Way.
Harris – Most of Harris is very hilly with more than thirty peaks above 1,000 ft.
Lewis – Lewis is comparatively flat, save in the south-east, where Ben More reaches 1,874 ft and in the south-west where Mealasbhal 1,885 ft is the highest point.
